Crochet Shawl with Pinked Border
You’ll need:
125g of chestnut yarn (70% mohair, 30% silk; 420m/50g);
50g of the same yarn, but in ginger-orange color;
50g of the same yarn, but in coral-orange color;
Crochet hook 3,5.
Used Patterns
Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 5 + 2. Work due to the scheme 1. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, repeat 1st-3rd rows and 2nd-3rd rows.
Pinked pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 20 + 1. Make in the same way, as main pattern, but due to the scheme 2. Make 1st-5th rows x once, then, repeat 4th-5th rows.
Stitches control: main pattern: 26 sts x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Pinked pattern: 28,5 sts x 7,75 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
At first, make 92 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase with chestnut yarn for left front and work with the main pattern. In 53 cm from the set-up row, the shoulder line is reached, in 59 cm from the set-up row, leave your work. Make right front in the same way. Then, for back, work on both details as one-piece cloth, for this, make the matching selvage sts together in the 1st row. In 47 cm from the combination of work or in 106 cm from the set-up row, finish your work.
For back of pinked pattern, make 201 chain sts with ginger-orange yarn, for front of pinked pattern, make 101 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with pinked pattern. In 15,5 cm = 12 rows from the set-up row, continue work with coral-orange yarn. In 31 cm = 24 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.
Assembly
Sew pinked borders to the top of set-up row and lower edges of front and back. For strap, make 3 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase with chestnut yarn, start every row with 3 chain sts instead of the 1st double crochet. Finish your work in 180 cm. Insert strap in the holes of pinked borders seaming.
