​Beige Tunic Dress

You’ll need:

300g of beige Bodrum yarn (48% linen, 52% polyester; 280m/100g);

Knitting needles 3;

Crochet hook 2,5 and 3.

Size: S.

Used Patterns

Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts.

Cable: 1^st row: 6 knit sts;

2^nd and all the even rows: purl;

3^rd row: cross 6 sts to the right: leave 3 sts on the auxiliary needle behind work, 3 knit sts, 3 knit sts from the auxiliary needle. Repeat 1^st-4^th rows.

Strap: 1^st row: double broaching;

2^nd and all even rows: purl;

3^rd row: knit st, yarn over, knit st;

5^th row: 3 knit sts.

Repeat 1^st-6^th rows.

Instructions

At first, make back and front at the same time. Make 144 chain sts with crochet hook 2,5 and circle them in the ring, make 3 circle rows due to the scheme 1. Then, make the bottom of tunic due to the scheme 2 for 36 cm. Make 20 cm with crochet hook 2,5, then, work with crochet hook 3. Then, make upper part of back and front separately.

Back

Cast on 72 sts with knitting needles and make double crochets from these sts. Make 2 rows of wrong-side pattern, increase 12 sts in the 1^st row = 84 sts. After that, divide sts in the following way: 1 selvage st, 4 purls, 3 straps, 5 purls, 6 sts of cable, 5 purls, 3 straps, 5 purls, 20 sts due to the scheme 3, 5 purls, 3 straps, 5 purls, 6 sts of cables, 5 purls, 3 straps, 5 purls, 3 straps, 4 purls, 1 selvage st. In 5 cm, increase 3 x 1 st in every 8^th row from both sides = 90 sts. Then, crochet straight for 17 cm. For arm-holes, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 1 st from both sides = 82 sts. Then, crochet straight for 17 cm. For neck-hole, bind off the central 28 sts and finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 5 sts from inwards. Bind off the rest 22 sts of shoulder. Make the second side in symmetry.

Front

Cast on 72 sts with knitting needle and make double crochets from them. Make 2 rows of wrong-side pattern, increase 14 sts in the 1^st row = 86 sts. Then, divide sts in the following way: 1 selvage st, 4 purls, 3 straps, 5 purls, 6 sts of cable, 5 purls, 3 sts of strap, 32 sts due to the scheme 4, 3 straps, 5 purls, 6 sts of cable, 5 purls, 3 straps, 4 purls, 1 selvage st. In 5 cm from both sides, increase 3 x 1 st in every 8^th row = 92 sts. Then, crochet straight for 17 cm. For arm-holes, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 1 st. At the same time, bind off the central 16 sts and finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 9 x 1 st from inwards. Then, crochet straight for 8 cm. Bind off the rest 22 sts. Make the second side in symmetry.

Sleeves

Make 50 chain sts and 1 row of double crochets with crochet hook 3, make 1 row of double crochets, then, turn to knitting needles, cast on 50 sts. Make 2 rows of wrong-side pattern, increase 8 sts in the 1^st row = 58 sts. Then, divide sts in the following way: 1 selvage st, 9 purls, 32 sts due to the scheme 4. Decrease 1 st in every RS row from both sides, starting from the 1^st row. At 12 cm height, bind off the rest 18 sts. Make the second sleeve in symmetry.

Assembly

Make shoulder and side seams. Sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes. Fasten neck-hole with 1 row of double crochets.
