​Knit Beige Dress

You’ll need:

600g of beige yarn (50% wool, 50% viscose);

Knitting needles 4,5 and 5;

Circular knitting needles 4,5.

Size: S.

Used Patterns

1 x 1 rib: the quantity of sts is multiple 2 + 2 selvage sts. RS row: 1 selvage st, * 1 knit st, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st. WS row: as sts face.

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 22 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, in which both RS and WS rows are stated. Start with selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Make 1^st-42^nd rows x once, then, repeat 15^th-42^nd rows.

Stitches control: 18 sts x 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 84 sts with knitting needles 4,5 and make 12 cm with 1 x 1 rib. Increase 6 sts in the last row and work with stockinette stitch with knitting needles 5. At 65 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off 4 sts from both sides for arm-holes. At 84 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off the central 22 sts for neck-hole and after that finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts in every 2^nd row from inwards. At 20 cm height of arm-hole, bind off the rest 22 sts of shoulder. Finish another side of neck-hole in symmetry.

Front

Start work in the same way, as back. At 44 cm height from the beginning of work, start making relief pattern. At 84 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off the central 20 sts for neck-hole and finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 4 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from inwards. At 85 cm height, bind off the rest 22 sts of shoulder. Finish another side of neck-hole in symmetry.

Sleeves

Cast on 44 sts with knitting needles 4,5 and make 8 cm with 1 x 1 rib, increase 3 sts in the last row and after that work with relief pattern with knitting needles 5. At 13 cm height from rib, increase 8 x 1 st in every 6^th row from both sides = 63 sts. At 42 cm height from rib, bind off 4 sts form both sides for sleeve caps, then, 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. At 56 cm height, bind off the rest 22 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. For collar, cast on 116 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles, make 8 circle rows of 1 x 1 rib. Increase 54 sts in the last row = 170 sts. Then, make 24 rows with 1 x 1 rib and bind off sts as they face.
