​Crochet Cardigan with Flowers Fastener

You’ll need:

450g of grey yarn (70% cotton, 30% viscose);

Crochet hook 3 cm;

50 cm of silk black cord;

2 faux flowers.

Instructions

Upper Part of Back

Make 66 chain sts and work with double crochets, increase 4 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from both sides = 74 sts. At 12 cm height, bind off 5 sts from both sides for arm-holes and decrease 3 x 1 st in every row = 58 sts. At 32 cm height, after getting 14 sts for each shoulder and 30 sts for neck-hole, finish your work.

Upper Part of Right Front

Make 34 chain sts and work with double crochets, increase 4 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from the side of seam. At the same time, at 8 cm height, decrease 16 x 1 st in every row for neck-hole chamfer. At 12 cm height from the beginning of side seam, make arm-hole in the same way, as for back. At 32 cm height, after getting 14 sts for shoulder, finish your work.

Upper Part of Left Front

Make in symmetry to right front.

Lower Part

Make side seams of upper part. Lift 133 sts along the lower edge of upper part and work due to the scheme 1, increase 6 x 1 st in every group of double crochets, except the 1^st and the last groups, in every 5^th row = 175 sts. At 42 cm from the beginning of pattern, finish your work.

Sleeves

Make 48 chain sts and work with double crochets, increase 5 x 1 st in every row from both sides = 58 sts. At 12 cm height, bind off 5 sts from both sides for sleeve cap, then, decrease 12 x 1 st in every row = 24 sts and finish your work. Lift 65 sts along the lower edge and work due to the scheme 1, increase 2 x 1 st in every group of double crochets in the 6^th row = 75 sts. In 17 cm from the beginning of pattern, finish your work.

Assembly

Make shoulder and sleeve seams. Sew up the sleeves. Fasten the edges of front and neck-hole with 2 rows of single crochets and 1 row of “crab stitch”. Fasten the lower edge of work and sleeves due to the scheme 2. Sew 1 flower and cord of 25 cm long, as strap to each half of front.
