​Crochet Transformer Shawl

You’ll need:

12 (13) skeins of grey-blue yarn (10% cashmere, 70% merino wool, 20% microfiber; 140m/50g);

Crochet hooks 4,5;

7 buttons with 22 mm diameter.

Size: S/М (L/XL).

Width of stripes 1 and 2: 45 (50) cm;

Length of stripe 1: 125 (130) cm;

Length of stripe 2: 80 (85) cm.

Stitches control: 18 sts x 11 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Strip 1

Make 99 (111) chain sts with crochet hook 4,5, include 3 chain sts increase in work, turn and continue work due to the scheme, repeat the pattern x 8 (9) times = 8 (9) squares. Repeat 3^rd-8^th rows. Continue crochet straight until the length of stripe is 125 (130) cm (the last row = 6^th row).

Strip 2

Place strip 1 set-up chain facing you. Then, crochet straight along right side of double crochets, starting from lower right corner.

1^st row, in the same way, as the 7^th row due to the scheme: 3 chain sts, 2 double crochets in 1 st, * 8 chain sts, skip 6^th row and then make 2 double crochets, 1 chain st, 2 double crochets in 1 st between the 6^th and 7^th rows*; repeat from * to *. Repeat the pattern x 8 (9) times, finish your work with 3 double crochets in 1 st. Then, crochet straight due to the scheme until the length of stripe 2 is 80 (85) cm (the last row = 6^th row).

Assembly

Make 1 chain st, then make the following combination in every chain: * 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 3 double crochets, 1 half double crochet, 1 single crochet*; repeat from * to * in every chain of the last chain in the lower corner of scarf; make 1 single crochet in the last st of corner. Then, make 3 chains and make 5 chain sts, 1 single crochet between the 2^nd and 3^rd rows, 5 chain sts, 1 single crochet between the 4^th and 5^th rows, 5 chain sts, 1 single crochet between the 6^th and 7^th rows, turn your work with the help of 1 slip st in the corner of scarf.
