Hi Susan,

Your pattern was just what I was looking for!  I have a friend who is wheelchair bound and loves to wear shawls but they can be a bit bulky and get in her way.  I think this will be a perfect gift for her and especially love the idea of a button.  I'm thinking that I will make one for myself as I spend a lot of time at the computer.  Do you have a gauge for this pattern?  I would like to try and make it in DK weight yarn.

Warm regards,

Sandra

Hello Susan,

Do you have a chart or scheme of the pattern?

Thank you!

Sorry, Sandy, but there wasn't either gauge or scheme for this pattern in origin.

I like all of them. Can I get a group of all in one?

Thank You so much for posting this wonderful pattern.  I'm planning on making this after I finish making the dolls and bears, I want to donate to my local police department.

You are so kind in listing this pattern for us.

Again, Thank You so much,

Oh my, this is gorgeous.  In the last three years, I have made seven shawls for friends, the last three for friends or their spouse with cancer.  This is my next shawl! Thank you.

Hi Susan
I love this pattern for the shawl. I am confused about some of the directions? When I start crocheting is this the collar, the side or what? Does Inc Cluster mean increase? I don’t know I’ve been crocheting for years and am having trouble with the directions.

I appreciate your free pattern and any answers you can give.

Dear Darlene,

Yes, you understand clearly — the beginning is collar

inc = increase

Hi Darlene, I was reading your comment. Did you ever complete the shawl?

Thank you for the pattern.  I noticed that you suggest an «H» hook for the worsted weight yarn.   The worsted weight yarn I want to use (and other brands) suggests an «I» hook.  Is there a reason use are suggesting a smaller size hook?

Best regards,

Sandy

Hello Susan,

I really would like to make this pattern but I have been trying to figure it out.  I feel so inept in reading this pattern.  Usually I have no problem but I am flummoxed!

For example: Row 8 Increasing in every other space.   I have done exactly that and the yarn stretches and pulls between the two clusters.  Should there be a chain between each of the increase clusters?  I have gone up a hook size.  Should I go up another size?

I can't imagine what I will do when I have to crochet the increase cluster every third space.

I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I am using a 100% acrylic yarn #4 weight.

Any help or ideas that would put me on the right track would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Sandy
