You’ll need:

350 (400) 450g of beige yarn (38% alpaca, 30% camel wool, 26% polyamide, 6% wool; 150m/50g);

Crochet hooks 5,5 and 6.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 3 + 2. Work due to the scheme 1. Start every row due to the scheme with 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1st double crochet and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Make 1st-3rd rows x once, then, repeat 2nd-3rd rows. Make double crochet only around chain st of the previous row, starting from the 2nd row.

Lace border: 1 pattern repeat = 12 set-up chain sts. The quantity of sts is multiple 12 +4. Make corners due to the scheme 2. Start every circle row due to the scheme, make chain st instead of the 1st st and finish with 1 slip st. Turn to the beginning of the next circle row with the help of slip st, pattern repeat, make corners and turn of circle row due to the scheme.

Stitches control: 14 sts x 7 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Make 128 (140) 152 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern. In 35,5 cm = 25 rows (38,5 cm = 27 rows) 38,5 cm = 27 rows from the set-up row, divide your work for arm-holes. At first, continue making back on the central 62 (68) 74 sts due to the pattern. In 18,5 cm = 13 rows (18,5 cm = 13 rows) 21,5 cm = 15 rows from the beginning of arm-holes, finish your work. There is 1 st left for arm-holes. Continue work on the last 32 (35) 38 sts due to the pattern for the left front. Finish your work at the height of back. Make right front on the first 32 (35) 38 sts in the same way, as left front.

Sleeves

Make 32 (35) 38 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with main pattern. For sleeve chamfers, increase 10 (10) 11 x 1 st in every 3rd row from both sides. Make increases as double crochets and include them in the pattern = 52 (55) 60 sts. In 46 cm = 32 rows (48,5 cm = 34 rows) 50 cm = 35 rows from the set-up row, finish sleeve.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams to 13,5 cm = 19 sts (15 cm = 21 sts) 16,5 cm = 23 sts long from both sides. Make sleeve seams and sew up the sleeves. Fasten the edges of sleeves with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “shrimp stitch” with crochet hook 5. Fasten all the edges of jacket with lace border with crochet hook 6.

I HAVE READ THRU AT LEAST 10 PATTERNS AND I CAN NOT MAKE HEADS OR TAILS OF THEM. ONE SAYS USE SCHEME 1 ETC,  BUT WHERE DO I FIND THESE DIFFERENT THINGS THAT THE PATTERNS TELL YOU TO DO???

I ALSO HAVEN'T FOUND A PATTERN HERE THAT IS BIGGER THEN A XL. I JUST TURNED 67 LAST WEEK AND I HAVE BEEN CROCHETING SINCE I WAS 5 YEARS OLD AS MY GRANDMOTHER SHOWED ME THE BEGINNINGS OF CROCHETING. THEM WHEN I WAS 19 AND HAVING MY FIRST CHILD MY COUSIN SHOWED ME HOW TO MAKE GRANNY SQUARES, I MADE A BEDSPREAD FOR OUR DOUBLE BED, HANGING TO TOUCH THE FLOOR. i ALSO MADE MATCHING PILLOW SHAMS.  I HAVE NEVER MASTERED THE ART OF CROCHETING FROM A CHART. SO THAT IS THAT

STAY WELL & STAY SAFE
