You’ll need:

6 (7, 8, 9, 10) balls of KnitPicks Lindy Chain in “Linen;

KnitPicks Curio Thread 1 ball each of:

A: Cornmeal;

B: Tearose;

C: Sagebrush;

D: Victorian;

E: Ash;

F: Comfrey;

G: Spearmint;

Crochet hook 2 mm and 4 mm;

Tapestry needle.

Size: XL (XXL, XXXL, XXXXL, XXXXXL)

Bust: 50(54, 58, 62, 66)”

Length: 26”

Stitches control: One motif is 2”x 2”


Instructions

Yoke

W/A and w/2.0mm hook, work 4ch, join w/sl st in 1st st to form ring.

Round 1: 4ch(counts as dc + 1ch), (dc, 1ch) 11 times in ring, sl st into 3rd ch of beg ch, finish off – (12 dc)

Round 2: W/B, join w/sl st into any 1ch space, 3ch, 2dc cluster in same space, (3ch, 3dc cluster) 11 times, 3ch, sl st in top of beginning 3ch, finish off – (12 clusters)

Round 3: W/C, join w/sl st in any 3ch space, 1ch, sc in same space, 5ch, sc in next 3ch space, *(5dc, 4ch, 5dc) in next 3ch space**, sc in next 3 ch space, 5ch, sc in next 3ch space; repeat from * 3 more times ending last repeat at **, join w/sl st in 1st st, finish off. – 4 corner shells

Note on Join as You Go: Connect motifs by replacing a chain stitch in Round 3 with a sl st that is worked into the corresponding spot on another motif. Connect in the corners and in the middle of the 5ch space. Use this method to connect motifs until your motifs resemble the examples below. You will have a total of 50 motifs for the 1x and 2x, 64 motifs for the 3X and 72 motifs for the 4x and 5x. Use a different color combo for each motif.

Body

Round 1: W/H and w/4.0mm hook, join w/sl st in bottom corner, 1ch, work 14 sc evenly across each motif to end, ch 12 (18, 24, 30, 28), work 14 sc evenly across each motif to end, ch 12(18, 24, 30, 28), join w/sl st in 1st st, turn. – 220(232, 244, 256, 280) sc

Round 2: 3ch (counts as dc), dc in each sc and ch around, join w/sl st in top of beginning ch, turn – 220(232, 244, 256, 280) dc

Repeat Round 2 39 times or until desired length is achieved.

Finish off and weave in all ends.
