​Knit Green Dress

You’ll need:

2 (3) x 200f of sectional coloring yarn (80% cotton, 20% polyamide; 740m/200g);

Knitting needles 3,5;

Crochet hook 3,5.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Garter stitch: knit;

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 16 + 15 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated. Make all the sts and yarn overs in WS rows as knit sts. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with 15 sts of pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1^st-16^th rows.

Note: pay attention, that the quantity of yarn overs and sts made together inside the pattern should be the same, while making decreases.

Stitches control: 22 sts x 43,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Note: make selvage sts with garter stitch.

Cast on 105 (121) sts and make 1 cm = 4 rows of garter stitch for placket. Continue work in the following way: 1 selvage st, 4 sts of garter stitch, 95 (111) sts of relief pattern (= 5 (6) pattern repeats + the first 15 sts of pattern repeat), 4 sts of garter stitch, 1 selvage st. In 11,5 cm = 50 rows from placket, increase 1 x 1 st from both sides for side chamfer, then, increase 6 x 1 st in every 28^th row, make the increased sts with garter stitch = 119 (135) sts. In 67 cm = 292 rows (70 cm = 304 rows) from the placket, bind off 1 x 5 (6) sts from both sides for shoulder chamfer, then, bind off 4 x 5 sts and 1 x 4 sts (5 x 6 sts) in every 2^nd row. In 70 cm = 304 rows (73 cm = 316 rows) from placket, bind off the rest 61 (63) sts, the central 53 sts form neck-hole, outer 4 (5) sts – for each shoulder.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but in 62 cm = 270 rows (65 cm = 282 rows) from placket, bind off the central 13 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 11 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. Bind off the rest 4 (5) sts of each shoulder at the height of back.

Sleeves

Cast on 65 (73) sts and make 1 cm = 4 rows of garter stitch for placket. Continue work with relief pattern, divide the sts for size M in the following way: 1 selvage st, 4 sts of garter stitch, 63 sts of relief pattern (= 3 x pattern repeat + first 15 sts of pattern repeat), 4 sts of garter stitch, 1 selvage st. In 25,5 cm = 110 rows from placket, increase 1 x 1 st for sleeve chamfer, then, increase 3 x 1 st in every 12^th row and 2 x 1 st in every 10^th row (1 x 1 st in the next 10^th row and 6 x 1 st in every 8^th row) and make the increased sts with garter stitch = 77 (89) sts. In 40,5 cm = 176 rows from placket, bind off all the sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Fasten neck-hole with 1 circle row of single crochets and 1 circle row of “shrimp stitch”. Sew up the sleeves, make sleeve seams. Make side seams from arm-hole to mark A on the pattern design, leave 12,5 cm from both sides open for side cuts.
