​Crochet Cardigan with Rhombs

You’ll need:

450g of yarn (42% wool, 26% polyester, 20% polyacryl, 12% alpaca; 270m/50g);

Crochet hook 5,5.

Size: S-M.

Used Patterns

Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 15 + 1. Work due to the scheme. Start with sts before pattern repeat (= rib), pattern repeat (rhombs pattern), finish with sts after pattern repeat (= rib). Make 1^st-5^th rows x once, then, repeat 2^nd-5^th rows x once, then, repeat 6^th-25^th rows.

Stitches control: 14 sts x 10,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Note: make front and back as one-piece cloth.

Instructions

Back and Front

Make 151 chain sts + 1 chain st increase and work with the main pattern. For front, skip the outer 38 sts from both sides in 65 cm = 68 rows from the set-up row and make back on the central 75 sts, at first. In 85 cm = 89 rows form the set-up row, finish your work. Then, continue making left front on the last 38 sts. In 74,5 cm = 78 rows form the division of work, skip 8 sts along the left side for neck-hole and bind off 8 x 1 st in the next row. Finish your work on the rest 22 sts of shoulder at the height of back. Finish right front in symmetry to the left front on the first 38 sts.

Sleeves

Make 32 chain sts + 1 chain st increase for each sleeve and work with the main pattern, start with st from arrow A, repeat the pattern x twice, finish with st before arrow B. In 8,5 cm = 9 rows from the set-up row, increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers and then bind off 9 x 1 st in every 4^th row due to the pattern = 52 sts. In 46,5 cm = 49 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.

Assembly

Make all the seams. Sew up the sleeves. For collar, fasten the edge of neck-hole in the following way: continue making the pattern on the first and last 8 sts of rib, fasten the edge of neck-hole with 59 sts of rib between them. At 20 cm height of the collar, finish your work. For belt, make 9 chain sts + 1 chain st increase and work with rib. In 130 cm from the set-up row, finish your work.
