You’ll need:

600 (700)g of light-grey Merino 70 yarn (98% merino wool, 2% polyester; 70m/50g);

150 (200)g of the same yarn, but in dark-grey and pink colors (each);

Straight and circular knitting needles 7.

Size: S (L).

Used Patterns

Wrong-side pattern: in RS – purls, in WS row – knit sts;

Stockinette stitch: in RS – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Wavy pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 19 + 1 (11) + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which both RS and WS rows are stated. Start with 1 selvage st (1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat), pattern repeat and finish with 1 selvage st (sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st). Repeat 1st-4th rows.

Colors order: 10 pink rows, 14 light-grey rows, 4 dark-grey rows, 4 light-grey rows, * 4 pink rows, 4 light-grey rows, 4 dark-grey rows, 4 light-grey rows*; repeat from * to * x once (0) = 64 (48) rows. Information in brackets refers to sleeves.

Main pattern: 2 wrong-side pattern rows and 2 rows of stockinette stitch with dark-grey yarn, 1 RS row of knit sts, 2 wrong-side pattern rows, 1 WS row of purls, 2 rows of stockinette stitch with light-grey yarn, 1 RS row of knit sts, 2 wrong-side pattern rows, 1 WS row of purls and 2 rows of stockinette stitch with light-grey yarn, 1 RS row of knit sts, 2 wrong-side pattern rows and 1 WS row of purls with pink yarn (= end of sleeves). Then, work with light-grey yarn for front and back in the following way: 16 rows (28 rows) of wavy pattern, ** 2 rows of wrong-side pattern, 2 rows of stockinette stitch, 2 rows of wrong-side pattern, 4 rows of wavy pattern**; repeat from ** to **.

Stitches control: 17 sts x 22,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back/Front

Cast on 79 (98) sts with dark-grey yarn and make 1 WS row of knit sts (don’t take this row into account). Then, work with the main pattern. In 60,5 cm = 136 rows (66 cm = 148 rows) from the set-up row, bind off 5 (7) sts from both sides for shoulder chamfers and 2 x 7 (8) sts in every 2nd row. In 62 cm = 140 rows (67,5 cm = 152 rows) from the set-up row, work on the rest 41 (52) sts due to the pattern for collar, for L size, start and finish with wavy pattern in the same way, as for sleeve, add 1 st of stockinette stitch from one side. In 73,5 cm = 166 rows (79 cm = 178 rows) from the set-up row, bind off all the sts as knit sts.

Sleeves

Cast on 70 (89) sts and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Then, work with the main pattern. In 30 cm = 68 rows from the set-up row, bind off all the sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder and collar seams; sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
