Straight and circular knitting needles 6.

Used Patterns

Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 12 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme 1, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows – as purls. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-4th rows x 21 times, 5th-16th rows x once, 11th-16th rows x 3 times, 17th-26th rows x once, then, repeat 25th and 26th rows.

Pattern for sleeves: the quantity of sts is multiple 12 + 2 selvage sts. Make in the same way, as the main pattern, but due to the scheme 2. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-2nd rows x 11 times, 3rd-16th rows x once, 11th-24th rows x once, then, repeat 21st-24th rows.

2 x 2 rib.

Stitches control: main pattern (1st-4th rows): 15 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Main pattern (5th-24th rows): 22,5 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Main pattern (25th-26th rows): 19 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern for sleeves (1st-2nd rows): 19 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern for sleeves (3rd-20th rows): 22,5 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern for sleeves (21st-24th rows): 15 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 86 (98) 110 sts in criss-cross method and work with the main pattern. In 77,5 cm = 188 rows from the set-up row, bind off 7 (9) 11 sts from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 3 x 8 (9) 10 sts in every 2nd row. At the same time with the 1st shoulder decrease, bind off the central 14 (16) 18 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from inwards. Finish your work in 60 cm = 194 rows from the set-up row.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but for deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 10 (12) 14 sts in 70,5 cm = 172 rows from the set-up row and 1 x 2 sts, 5 x 1 st in every 2nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 62 (62) 74 sts and work with the pattern for sleeves. In 26 cm = 64 rows (23 cm = 56 rows) 26 cm = 64 rows from the set-up row, increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 2 x 1 st in every 18th row (5 x 1 st in every 10th row) 2 x 1 st in every 18th row = 68 (74) 80 sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 46 cm = 114 rows from the set-up row, bind off the sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 88 (92) 96 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles and make collar with rib. At 23 cm = 52 circle rows height of collar, bind off the sts due to the pattern loosely. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
