600g of beige Mondial Merino Sprint yarn (50% wool, 50% acryl; 190m/100g)l

Straight knitting needles 4 and 4,5;

3 buttons.

Used Patterns

Double rib: cast on the half of the needed quantity of sts with contrast yarn:

1^st row: with working yarn, *1 knit st, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *;

2^nd row: *yarn over as knit st, slip 1 st as purl without knitting, yarn in front of work*; repeat from * to *;

3^rd and the last row: * 1 knit st, slip 1 st as purl, yarn in front of work*; repeat from * to *, take off the contrast yarn.

2 x 2 rib;

Pattern with cables (the quantity of sts is multiple 11 + 5): 1^st, 3^rd, 5^th, 9^th, 11^th, 13^th, 15^th, 17^th rows: * 2 purls, 1 knit st, 2 purls, 6 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 2 purls, 1 knit st, 2 purls;

2^nd and all the even rows: due to the ornament;

7^th and 19^th rows: * 7 purls, 1 knit st, 2 purls, cross 6 sts to the left (leave 3 sts on the auxiliary needle in front of work, 3 knit sts, 3 knit sts from the auxiliary needle)*; repeat from * to *, 2 purls, 1 knit st, 2 purls.

Repeat the pattern from the 3^rd row.

Stitches control, pattern with cables: 22 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Cast on 82 sts with knitting needles 4 and make 4 rows with double rib, then, work with 2 x 2 rib. In 6 cm, turn to knitting needles 4,5 and work with pattern with cables, in 50 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 2 sts from both sides for chamfers and then decrease 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row after the first 2 sts and before the last 2 sts. In 68 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest 74 sts, 20 sts from which are for each shoulder.

Right Front

Cast on 24 sts with knitting needles 4,5 and work with pattern with cables, start the row with 2 purls and 6 knit sts. Increase 1 x 7 sts in every row after the first 2 sts from the right side and 18 x 1 st in every 2^nd row, include the increased sts in the pattern with cables. In 25 cm from the set-up row, knit 10 cm without increases and in 35 cm from the set-up row, decrease 25 x 1 st in every 2^nd row after the first 2 sts from the right side for the neck-hole. In 42 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 2 sts for arm-hole chamfer from the left side and then decrease 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from the left side. In 60 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest 20 sts.

Left Front

Make in symmetry to the right front.

Sleeves

Cast on 58 sts with knitting needles 4 and make 4 rows with double rib, then, work with 2 x 2 rib. In 2 cm from the set-up row, turn to knitting needles 4,5 and work with pattern with cables. In 6 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 2 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and then decrease 17 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 21 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest 20 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. For front placket and neck-hole, cast on 44 sts along the back neck-hole and work with 2 x 2 rib, increase 5 x 6 sts and 6 x 5 sts in every 2^nd row along the neck-hole of every part of front. Then, increase 1 x 24 sts along the set-up row of each half of front, include the increased sts in 2 x 2 rib pattern, in 8 cm make 4 rows with double rib and bind off all the sts. At 5 cm height from the beginning of placket, make 3 button-holes on the central 10cm of the right front with 5 cm interval. Sew up the sleeves, make sleeve and side seams. Sew the buttons.
