Stitches control: 9 sts x 6 rows = 5 x 5 cm.

Instructions

Chain 50

Join in the round by slip stitching first and last sts together

Round 1: CH2, DC into each chain around, slip stitch into first stitch (50 total sts)

Round 2: CH2, *FPDC next stitch, BPDC next stitch* Repeat around, slip stitch into first stitch

Repeat Round 2 until your project measures approx. 3 inches (7.6cm) in length from the starting chain.

Round 3: CH2, *2 DC into next stitch, DC into each of the next 24 sts* Repeat around, slip stitch into first stitch (52 total sts)

Rounds 4&5: CH1, SC into each of next five sts, *SC into each of the next two sts, CH1, skip next stitch, HDC into next stitch, CH1, skip next stitch, DC into next stitch, CH1, skip next stitch, TRC into next stitch, CH1, skip next stitch, DC into next stitch, CH1, skip next stitch, HDC into next stitch, CH1, skip next stitch, SC into next stitch* Repeat two more times, SC into each of next five sts, slip stitch into first stitch (52 total sts not including starting chain)

**If your seam starts to wander, you can correct this by starting Round 6 or 9 by skipping the first stitch, and doing 2 DC into the last stitch. Repeat this as needed to push your seam back straight.**

Round 6: CH2, DC into each stitch or CH1 space around, slip stitch into first stitch

Round 9: CH2, DC into each stitch or CH1 space around, slip stitch into first stitch

Repeat Rounds 4-9 until your project measures approx. 11.5 inches (29.25cm) in length from the starting edge.

Round 10: CH2, *DC2tog, DC into each of the next 24 sts* Repeat around, slip stitch into first stitch (50 total sts)

Round 11: CH2, *FPDC next stitch, BPDC next stitch* Repeat around, slip stitch into first stitch

Repeat Round 11 until your final trim measures approx. 3 inches (7.6cm) from first Round 10.

Fasten Off. Secure and weave in all ends.
