You’ll need:

950 (1000) 1050g of grey yarn (98% wool, 2% polyamide; 53m/50g);

Circle knitting needles 12 (80 and 120 cm long).

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

2 x 2 rib;

Garter stitch: all knit sts;

Main pattern (the quantity of sts is multipled 3 + 1):

1st row (WS): * 1 purl, 1 yarn over, purl2tog*; repeat from * to *, finish with 1 purl;

2nd row (RS): 1 knit st, * slip 1 st, 2 knit sts, draw the slipped st through the knit st*; repeat from * to *;

3rd row: * 2 purls, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *, finish with 1 purl;

4th row: * slip 1 st, 2 knit sts, draw the slipped st through the knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st;

5th row: 1 purl, * 1 yarn over, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *.

Make 1st-5th rows once, then 2nd-5th rows.

Stitches control: garter stitch: 10 sts х 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Main pattern: 9 sts х 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Left Front + Half of Left Sleeve

Cast on 25 (20) 31 sts with short knitting needles: 1 selvedge st, 5 sts of garter stitch for front placket, 18 (22) 24 sts of rib for lower placket, start with 2 purls and 2 knit sts, selvedge st.

After 10 cm = 12 rows, increase 1 (0) 1 st from broaching after the selvedge st = 26 (29) 32 sts.

In the next row after the selvedge st and 5 sts of garter stitch, continue work with the main pattern: make the 1st row in upper part, then, make 2nd-5th rows, continue knitting the sts for the front placket with garter stitch.

At 20 cm height = 24 rows from the rib, increase 1 st in the RS row after the main pattern before the st of the front placket, make it as cross knit st from broaching. Increase 1 cross knit st x 9 times in every 9th row at the same place.

At the same time, at 38 cm height = 45 rows from the beginning of rib, increase 1 st from the right side for the sleeves, 1 st x 2 in every 2nd row, 2 sts x 1, 3 sts x 1, 6 sts x 1, 10 sts x 1, 20 sts x 1, cast on the new sts every time and include them in the main pattern.

After the last increase of 8 sts, make cuffs with garter stitch = 80 (83) 86 sts.

From the left side in 33 cm = 39 rows from the beginning of work, bind off 15 sts of the front placket = 65 (68) 71 sts.

In 17 (19) 21 cm = 20 (22) 26 rows from the beginning of sleeve, turn to the auxiliary yarn.

Right Front + Half of Right Sleeve

Make in symmetry to the left.

Back + Halves of Both Sleeves

Transfer the sts of the left front with sleeve to the long knitting needles, cast on 9 sts for the neck-hole and transfer the left sts of right front and sleeve to the knitting needles = 139 (145) 151 sts.

Continue work from up on all the sts due to the ornament, include selvedge sts in the pattern.

Continue work on 8 sts of garter stitch.

After 34 (28) 42 cm = 40 (44) 52 rows from the edge of sleeve, start decreasing sts for the sleeve: bind off 20 sts from both sides, then, 10 sts x 1, 6 sts x 1, 3 sts x 2, 2 sts x 1, 1 st x 3 = 45 (51) 57 sts.

At 66 (68) 70 cm height = 80 (82) 84 rows from the beginning of back, make the lower placket with rib, decrease 1 (3) 1 st in the 1st row = 44 (48) 56 sts on the knitting needles. Start with 2 purls (2 purls) 2 knit sts after the selvedge st and bind off the row.

Make 10 cm of side = 12 rows, bind off the sts.

Pockets

Cast on 15 sts with short knitting needles, work with the main pattern, start from WS row.

After 14 cm = 17 rows, make 3 more rows of garter stitch and bind off the sts as purls.

Make the second pocket in the same way.

Assembly

Cast on 16 (18) 20 sts from upper part for the collar along the edges of front, start with front plackets, and 10 sts along the edge of neck-hole on the back = 42 (46) 50 sts on the knitting needles, knit with short rows: make rib on the first 24 (26) 28 sts of the 1st row, 2 knit sts from the selvedge st, yarn over, turn, 8 sts in reverses order, 1 yarn over, 10 sts, knit yarn over from the previous row together with the next sts due to the pattern, knit st or purl, 1 yarn over, 14 sts.

Repeat these actions until all the sts are included into the pattern of rib, after that 4 sts x 1 from both sides in every even row, 6 sts, 6 (8) 10 sts x 1.

Make rib on all the sts until the width of collar is 16 cm, bind off the sts.

Sew the pockets.

Make side and sleeves seams.
