The quantity of sts is even + 2 selvedge st + 2 sts for the symmetry. Start with color A:

1st and 2nd rows: stockinette stitch;

Change to color B yarn.

3rd row: 1 knit st, transfer 4 sts to the right-hand needle, yarn in front of work, 4 knit sts, slip 1 st, working yarn is in front of work;

Change to color A.

4th row: 4 purls, slip 4 sts, yarn is in front of work, 2 purls;

Change to color B.

5th row: 5 knit sts, 4 sts with yarn over (yarn is in front of work), 4 knit sts, 4 sts with yarn over, 1 knit st;

6th row: 2 purls, 4 sts with yarn over (yarn is behind work), 4 purls;

7th row: slip 1 st (yarn is in front of work), 4 knit sts, 4 sts with yarn over, 1 knit st;

8th row: 4 sts with yarn over (yarn is behind work), 4 purls, 2 sts with yarn over;

Change to color A.

9th row: 2 knit sts, 4 sts with yarn over, 4 knit sts;

10th row: 1 st with yarn over, 4 purls, 4 sts with yarn over, 1 purl;

11th row: 4 sts with yarn over, 4 knit sts, 2 sts with yarn over;

12th row: 3 sts with yarn over, 4 purls, 3 sts with yarn over;

13th row: slip 2 sts, 4 knit sts, slip 4 sts;

14th row: 1 purl, slip 4 sts, 4 purls, slip 1 st.

Repeat from the 3rd row.
