Doughnut Cushion

You'll need:

Thick paper for making the stencil;
Threads;
Pencil;
Scissors;
One-color fabric for base 50 х 100 сm;
Pink fabric for decoration 40 х 40 сm;
Sewing machine;
Safety pins;
Colorful buttons.

Instructions

Making the stencil of doughnut:

Fold a sheet of paper 50 x 50 cm in half twice.

Bind one end of thread to the pencil.

Measure 20 cm from the edge of paper by means of ruler and draw the thread to this length.

Then, attach the opposite edge to the corner of square, where the fold is, make a free line with a pencil compasses-based.

You'll get a quarter of circle.

Cut the odd ends.

Fold the obtained figure on the cross.

Measure and cut 3 cm from the corner - this will be a hole for the donut.

Unroll the paper back and the template is ready.

Preparatory stage:

The fabric is folded in half with the front side inward.

Fix the pattern with safety pins.

Encircle the shape and draw another circle at a distance of about 1 cm from the template. This is not necessary if you manage to cut off the fabric evenly with allowance for seam allowances.

The place of the hole is also indicated, but it is not necessary to cut it out at this stage.

Decorative element:

Fold the template in the form of a triangle again and make the inner hole wider by 3 cm.
Straighten the paper and give the edges a wavy shape, drawing by hand, cut off the excess.

Put the scheme on the wrong side of the material for the “cream”, outline and cut everything, including the hole in the middle, without allowances for the seams.

Assembly

Attach a piece of pink fabric to the front side of one half of the base, combining in the middle.

Fasten the fabric with pins and attach the “cream” on a typewriter using a zigzag.

Fold both parts of the base face inward and stitch the edges, leaving a hole of about 15 cm.

The place where the doughnut hole will be is also stitched along the drawn contour. Then make incisions crosswise and gently cut the excess material, step about 1 cm from the machine line. To make the fabric subsequently lie evenly, neat cuts are made with the tips of the scissors no more than 6 mm long at a short distance from each other.

Turn the pillowcase over and stuff it with a synthetic winterizer or other available filler to the desired degree of elasticity.

Using the blind seam, sew the remaining hole manually
