- Medium Mug Cozy = Measures 3.25” with just a tiny space left at the upper and lower parts of the mug.

Easy Crochet Mug Cozy With Buttons
The height of the foundation chains would be the final height of your mug cozy.
Adjust the number of chains in multiple of 2’s
With A, Chain 14 (18)
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. 12 (16) hdc.
Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in first st, xhdc until last st, hdc in last st, turn. 2 hdc, 5 (7) xhdc.
Rows 3 – 27: Rep Row 2
Adjust the number of repeats until you have the desired length around your mug.
Increase or reduce the number of repeats until you have a wide width to wrap around the mug.
Row 28: Ch 1, hdc in each stitch across, turn. 12 (16) hdc.
Edging
Crocheting around the whole panel.
Aim for (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc) at each of the 4 corners.
Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join with a sl st to the beginning chain.
Do not fasten off.
Handle
Chain 30, Skip the sts on the short edge and sl st to the last stitch on the edge.
Check the length of the chains across the mug.
If it’s too short, add a few more chains.
If it’s too long, take off a few chains.
