Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
200 grams of King Cole DK yarn in colour 1
100 grams of King Cole DK yarn in each of the colours 2 & 3
4.50mm crochet hook
UK INSTRUCTIONS:
Made in multiples of 2 + 3.
With colour 1 make 121ch loosely, work 1tr into 4th ch from hook, (RS) 1tr into each ch to end. Turn. (118tr + 3ch)
2nd Row – 4ch, miss 1tr, 1tr into next tr, * 1ch, miss 1tr, 1tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, working last tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (59tr and 59 1ch spaces + 3ch)
3rd Row – 3ch, work 1tr into each 1ch space and tr to last 4ch, work 1tr into space, 1tr into 3rd of 4ch. Turn.
4th Row – 4ch, miss 1tr, 1tr into next tr, * 1ch, miss 1tr, 1tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, working last tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Rpt 3rd & 4th Rows in colour sequence as follows:-
Twice in colour 1, once in colour 2, four times in colour 3.

Rpt from # # to # # once.

Border
Continue with colour 1, make 3ch, work 1tr into each 1ch space and tr to last 4ch, work 1tr into space, 1tr into 3rd of 4ch. DNT. Make 3ch, work 2tr into each row end down first side of blanket, make 1ch, ss loosely into each ch along starting chain edge, (you can use a larger hook size here if you want instead) make 3ch, work 2tr into each row up second side of blanket to end. Turn.
Starting with 1ch and working 3dc into the corners, work 1dc into each dc and slip stitch around blanket to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt last row once in colour 2, once in colour 3, once in colour 2 and once in colour 1.
Starting with 3ch and working 3tr into the corners, work 1tr into each dc to end. DNT.
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of 1ch, repeat (3ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next tr) around blanket to end. Fasten off.
