Finished Hat Size:
20 (22)” (51 (56) cm) head circumference
GAUGE: Rounds 1-3 = 3.5” (9 cm), with smaller size hook. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

HAT
Round 1 (Right side): With smaller size hook, ch 4; 11 dc in fourth ch from hook (skipped chs count as first dc), join with slip st to first dc: 12 dc.
Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), dc in same dc, 2 dc in each dc around; join with slip st to first dc: 24 dc.
Round 3: Ch 3, dc in same dc, dc in next dc, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc) around; join with slip st to first dc: 36 dc.
Round 4: Ch 3, dc in same dc, dc in next 2 dc, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc) around; join with slip st to first dc: 48 dc.
Round 5: Ch 3, dc in same dc, dc in next 3 dc, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc) around; join with slip st to first dc: 60 dc.

Size Medium Only
Rounds 6-11: Ch 3, dc in each dc around; join with slip st to first dc.
Round 12: With larger size hook, ch 6 (counts as first dc plus ch-3 sp), dc in next dc, (ch 3, dc in next dc) around, ch 3; join with slip st to first dc: 60 dc and 60 ch-3 sps.
Round 13: Ch 3, (skip next ch-3 sp, dc in next dc) around; join with slip st to first dc.
Rounds 14 and 15: Ch 3, dc in each dc around; join with slip st to first dc; fasten off.

Size Large Only

Thread yarn needle with a length of yarn.
