- 1 Everyday Cotton Yarn by Loops and Threads in color Salmon.
- 1 Everyday Cotton Yarn by Loops and Threads in color Coral.
- 1 Everyday Cotton Yarn by Loops and Threads in color Vintage Floral Ombre.
- US size G 4.0 mm crochet hook
- Stitch marker
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Size (approximate): 4.5″
Pattern Notes:
- We’ll be working in continuous rounds. Do not join at the end of your rounds.
- Because this is a coaster, I like to use cotton yarn. Cotton yarn is durable and great for absorbing liquid. You can use acrylic yarn if you want.

hdc – half double crochet
sc – single crochet
inc – increase (work 2 stitches in the same stitch)
Pattern
To begin Ch 2
Round 1: 8 hdc into 2nd chain from the hook. (8 sts)
Remember to place your stitch marker in the 1st stitch of each round. This will help you keep track of when you’re starting a new round.
Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (16 sts)
Round 3: *Inc, hdc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around. (24 sts)
Round 4: *Inc, hdc in next 2 sts.* Repeat from * to * around. (32 sts)
Round 5: *Inc, hdc in next 3 sts.* Repeat from * to * around. (40 sts)
Round 6: *Inc, hdc in next 4 sts.* Repeat from * to * around. (48 sts)
Round 7: Hdc in each stitch around. (48 sts)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
