Crochet Adorable Mouse

Materials: For Main Color Approx. 1 ounce of Red Heart Baby Sport yarn

or

Aunt Lydias Cotton Denim

or any lightweight worsted weight yarn

and small amount of different color for shirt and bow

Size "G" crochet hook

2 wiggly eyes or buttons

one pipe cleaner

small pom-pom for nose

small piece of pink felt

polyfil

HEAD

With main color:

Rnd 1: Ch 2, 4 sc in first ch. Do not join rounds but mark the beginning of each round. (4 sc)

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (8 sc)

Rnds 3-4-5: Sc in each sc around (8 sc)

Rnd 6: Sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, (1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (12 sc)

Rnd 7: Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (16 sc)

Rnd 8: sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around (20 sc)

Rnd 9: Sc in next 2 sc (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc) around (26 sc)

Rnd 10: Repeat row 9 (34 sc)

Rnds 11-12-13-14: Sc in each sc around (34 sc)

Rnd 15: (sc in next 3 sc, dec over next 2 sc) around (28 sc)

Rnd 16: Sc in each sc around (28 sc)

Rnd 17: (sc in next 2 sc, dec over next 2 sc) around (21 sc)

Rnd 18: (Sc in next sc, dec over next 2 sc) around. Finish off leaving length of yarn. Stuff and gather to close.

EARS

With main color:

1. Ch 3, 6 hdc in first chain, ch 2, turn

2. hdc in each hdc across, chain 3 and sl st in beg chain, ch 1 turn.

3. Sc along side, across the top and down the other side. Finish off. Glue a small circle of pink felt inside the ears. Attach to head.

BODY

With main color:

Rnd 1: Ch 2, 8 sc in first ch. Do not join but mark beg of each round (8 sc)

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc round (16 sc)

Rnd 3: (sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc) around (24 sc)

Rnd 4: (Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around (32 sc)

Rnd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around (40sc)

Rnd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around (48 sc)

Rnds 7-8-9-10-11: Sc in each sc around (48 sc)

Rnd 12: (sc in next 4 sc, dec over next 2 sc) around (40 sc)

Rnds 13-14-15: Sc in each sc around (40 sc)

Rnd 16: (sc in next 3 sc, dec over next 2 sc) around, sl st in next sc. Finish off (32 sc)

Rnd 17: Join color B in any sc, ch 1, sc in same plce and each sc around. Do not join but mark the beginning of each round.

Rnd 18-19-20-21-22: Sc in each sc around. (32 sc)

Rnd 23: Sc in next sc, dec over next 2 sc, (sc in next 2 sc, dec over next 2 sc (24 sc)

Rnd 24-25: Sc in each sc around (24 sc)

Rnd 26: (Sc in next sc, dec over next 2 sc) around (16 sc)

Rnd 27: sc in each sc around. Finish off, stuff and gather to close.

ARMS - Make 2

With main color, ch 2, 8 sc in first ch (8 sc)

Rnds 1-5: Sc in each sc around.

Rnd 6: Sc over next 2 sc, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in rem 2 sc. (8 sc) This makes a bend in the arm)

Rnd 7-8: Sc in each sc around.

Rnd 9-14: Attach color B and sc in each sc around. Stuff and gather to close. Attach arms to body.

LEGS - Make 2

With main color:

Rnd 1: Ch 5, 1 sc in next 3 sc, 3 sc in next sc, (working around other side) 1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in beg sc. (12 sc). Do not join but mark beg of each rnd.

Rnd 2: Working in back loop, 1 sc in each sc around (12 sc)

Rnd 3: Working in both loops 1 sc in each sc around (12 sc)

Rnd 4: (Sc in 4 sc, dec in 2 sc) twice (10 sc)

Rnds 5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12: sc in each sc around (10sc) Stuff and gather to close.

BOW

With main color:

Row 1: Chain 6, sc in 5 sc, ch 1 turn. (5 sc)

Row 2: Sc in each 5 sc.

Rows 3-9: Rep row 2.

Gather at center and wrap yarn around 2 or 3 times tightly and attach to body.

TAIL

Chain 41.

Row 1 - 4: Sc in each sc across, ch 1 turn.

Fold in half lengthwise, lay pipe cleaner on top and sew two sides together. Attach to back of mouse.
