Crochet Snowflake Coaster

Materials:

  • Yarn - you can use white worsted weight cotton, white Speed CroSheen, or
  • white “Denim” cotton blend, depending on the look you prefer
  • Crochet hook size F

Ch 5, join with a sl st to form ring

Round 1: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 11 more dc in the ring; join

with a sl st top the top of the beginning ch 3. (12 dc)

Round 2: Ch 1, sc in the same st as joining, ch 1, skip next dc, (sc in the

next dc, ch 6, sc in the same st, ch 1, skip next dc) 5 times, sc in the same

st as first sc, ch 6, join with a sl st to the first sc. (6 loops)

Round 3: Sl st into the first ch 1 sp, ch 1, sc in the same sp, *(dc, ch 1) 5

times in the next ch 6 loop, dc in the same loop; sc in the next ch 1 sp*

Repeat from * to * 5 times; (dc, ch 1) 5 times in the next ch 6 loop, dc in

the same loop; join with a sl st to the first sc.

Round 4: Sl st in the next dc and the next ch 1 sp; ch 1, sc in the same sp,

*ch 3, dc in the next ch 1 sp, ch 2, (dc, ch 3, dc in the top of the last dc for

picot, dc) all in the next ch 1 sp, ch 2, dc in the next ch 1 sp, ch 3, (sc in

the next ch 1 sp) 2 times* Repeat from * to * 4 times; ch 3, dc in the next

ch 1 sp, ch 2, (dc, ch 3, dc in the top of the last dc for picot, dc) all in the

next ch 1 sp, ch 2, dc in the next ch 1 sp, ch 3, sc in the next ch 1 sp; join

with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
