You will need: 3 balls

For this pattern you will need 7.0 crochet hook.

Scissors and tapestry needle

Size: medium size - this can easily be adapted to a smaller size or bigger size just by reducing or increasing the number of rows.

PATTERN NOTES:

1) Before you start working on your wrap take a measurement. I started with 121 chains. Chain until you reach the measurement taken.

2) The direction shown are for M size but can be easily converted into bigger size or smaller size – just measure your starting chain around your shoulders if it fits snuggly then you can use this chain amount for your size.

3) This pattern below can be easily adapted to a smaller size or bigger size just by reducing or increasing the numbers rows. Remember that when making bigger scarf size, you will need more yarn.

4) This Wrap is crocheted in spiral rows.

5) A Ch 3 at beg of the row counts as stitch, ch3 = double crochet

6) The Wrap measures:

hight: 40 cm / 17 inch
circumference: 105 cm / 41 inch

*Measurements are taken from the garment lying flat, before the yarn has stretched out/dropped.

7) The Wrap is worked in one piece.

8) TO WEAR Pull over head with twist at front and adjust top to cover shoulders as desired OR, pull down to waist with seam at center back, then pull the front of circle up over your head.

9) Make Mobius Twist = take the left side of your work (the side where the first dc is) being careful there are no twists, bring ends together and twist it down towards you, rotating the foundation chain from the bottom to the top. You will now treat the bottom loops of the foundation chain equal to top, “working” loops.

Level: Easy - for beginners

Abbreviations (US Crochet Terms):
SP - space
SlSt – slip stitch
CH/s – chain/s
DC - double crochet
SK - skip
T - turn
ST/s - stitch(es)
REP - repeat

WRITTEN PATTERN
Crochet Hook 7.0 mm
Make a foundation chain. The number of chains is a multiple of 4 + 1.
I made a chain: 121 chains. The length: 105 cm / 41 inch

R1: ch3 (1dc), ch1, work dc in 6th chain from crochet hook *dc in next st, ch1, skip ch1 on foundation chain* repeat from * to *, 1dc in last chain. We made 61 ch1 spaces.

Make Mobius Twist = take the left side of your work (the side where the first dc is) being careful there are no twists, bring ends together and twist it down towards you, rotating the foundation chain from the bottom to the top. You will now treat the bottom loops of the foundation chain equal to top, “working” loops.

R2: make „V“ stitches in ch1 spaces,
*dc in ch1sp (in the first space), ch1, 1dc in the same ch1sp, ch1, *skip ch1sp, dc in next ch1sp, ch1, 1dc in the same ch1sp, ch1* repeat from * to * till end of row. Work in „V“ stitch in the 1st, 3rd, 5th… space. In total you should have 31 „V“ stitches.

R3: continue crocheting „V“ stitches in chain1-spaces, work on the opposite of row R1
*dc in ch1sp (in the second space), ch1, 1dc in the same ch1sp, ch1, *skip ch1sp, dc in next ch1sp, ch1, 1dc in the same ch1sp, ch1* repeat from * to * till end of row.

Work in „V“ stitch in the 2nd, 4th, 6th… space. In total you should have 30 „V“ stitches.

R4: Your work will look like it has 2 new rows completed around, but really it is 1 continuous round. Continue crocheting, work „V“ stitch in „V“ stitch around. Make ch1 between „V“ stitches.
*dc in ch1sp (in „V“ stitch from previous round), ch1, 1dc in the same ch1sp, ch1* repeat from * to * till you are satisfied with the length of your mobius wrap.

Cut the yarn. Then fasten off and wave in all ends.
