How can I print out a written pattern?
You can copy and save the text as .doc file and then print it out
I see not pattern text.
How can I get the written instructions for this motif?
What's the point of showing us this if you aren't going to direct us to a pattern?
I know. I saw the photos and now I'm anxious to get started on a shawl but I need the written pattern. I cannot find the text she referred to above.
would love to have written instructions for this pattern how do you get them??
I wonder what the symbols mean??? I love this look but cannot read the pattern as I don't know what all the symbols mean. Can you add that please?
Hello. I encourage all of you to learn the international symbols for crochet. If you do, you will find that the symbol closely resembles the stitch itself. look carefully at the pattern and the work above and you will see what i mean. everyone knows the basic granny square. Find a symbolic version and see how easy it is to translate the symbol to the actual stitch. there used to be hundreds of international schemes on pinterest. and just as many possibilities for making something new.
Absolutely agree
I am a newbie to crochet and this site. Can honestly say I am not impressed. First you show that beautiful stitch with no pattern,
then you agree we should learn international symbols with no link to find them.
Glad this is a free site, otherwise it would be money ill spent.
These symbols are international — double crochet, chain sts.
I post a lot of cloths and different patterns.
I totally agree with you Ilene. What good is this site if you can not print out the pattern. I would love to get a copy of that pattern — but have no idea where to get it. Itsy was a bust too. And why learn the international symbols — they do me no good at all without a written patten. Think I will unsubscribe from this site — it's a joke.
Dear Kathi, I wrote it many times — you CAN print out the pattern, just copy the text, save it as .doc file and then print it out.
That's it!
Got a hot for ya — there isn't any «text» that I can see.
Hi Kathy, Did a lot of ‘digging around’. Found written instructions for the ‘pink shell’ pattern—in French! Was able to get some translation. Between the translations, the picture graph, and sitting down with yarn and hook—have it figured out, and now WRITTEN out. If you would like the instructions, please contact me: cadluvski@aol.com. Please put THE MOTIF OF LA PETITE GRISE in the subject line so I can find these messages faster. Have a great day! Cheri (OH)
Well, I am very late to this topy but I have to agree that this is a nice pattern. Took a bit, but was able to follow the chart. Looked a lot better in baby yarn tho. I think this is a great site and appreciate those who offer to help.
I dont see any text either. And I thought this was a free patten page.
can i get a written revision of this pattern
Thanks. Will try that — it didn't work last time.

Is a written pattern available?
I was looking for the pattern instructions. Only saw ‘the graph’ (yes ‘someday when I have time’ I need to learn…) Kept ‘digging’ for a written pattern. Found something in French.
Was able to get some translation. Between that, and the graph, and sitting down with hook and yarn, have it figured out — and written out. If anyone needs help with this, contact me at cadluvski@aol.com.

Love the pattern, but I need written directions for clarity, chain numbers, pattern parameters (multiple of 6+2, for example).

I am loving this stitch & believe it or not I was able to comprehend the picture of the pattern. I just took my time looking at the photos. Looking at the crocheted rows & then to the diagram. I was wondering how to read them & I now enjoy looking the diagram vs the written instructions. Thanks for sharing this pattern & thanks to the ones that shared the diagram chart. Much love from Northern Alabama (squeeze) (
