Crochet White Jacket with Violet Fringe
You’ll need:
200g of white (# 01) Visantia Angora yarn (70% angora, 30% acryl; 550m/100g);
50g of light-violet (# 11) Alpina Klement yarn (80% alpaca, 20% merino wool; 300m/50g);
Crochet hook 3.
Size: M.
Note: make back and front as one-piece cloth.
Used Patterns
Main pattern: due to the scheme 1. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat.
Repeat 1st-8th rows.
Fringe: work due to the scheme 2. Make 1st-4th rows x once.
Stitches control: 28 sts x 9 row = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back and Front
Make 280 chain sts with white yarn and work with main pattern, marking side lines – 70 sts for right front, 140 sts for back and 70 sts for left front. In 10 cm = 9 rows from the set-up row, make decreases due to the scheme 3 in the marked places. In 28 cm = 25 rows from the set-up row, leave 9 sts for arm-holes in the marked places and finish each part separately.
Back
At first, make back, decrease 5 x 2 sts from both sides in every row for arm-holes and 1 x 2 sts in the next 2nd row. In 46 cm = 41 rows from the set-up row, leave the central 30 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 5 sts from inwards and 2 x 2 sts in every row. In 49 cm = 44 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.
Left Front
Then, make left front, make arm-hole from the right side in the same way, as for back. In 41 cm = 37 rows from the set-up row, leave 15 sts from the left side for neck-hole and 1 x 4 sts in every row and 5 x 2 sts. Finish your work at the height of back.
Right Front
Make in symmetry to left front.
Sleeves
Make 90 chain sts with white yarn and work with main pattern. In 25 cm = 23 rows from the set-up row, make sleeve cap, matching with pattern design. In 42 cm = 38 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams, sew up the sleeves and make sleeve seams. Make fringe along front and neck-hole, make 1st-2nd row with white yarn and 3rd-4th rows – with light-violet yarn.
