Odds of Peaches N Crème 4-ply cotton ea (dk brown & lt brown);

Instructions
Acorn Body
DK Brown yarn.
1st row: starting at top: ch 14; (working in back humps of ea ch); sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea ch across: 13 sc;
2nd-9th rows: ch 1, turn work; sc in first sc; * sc in next sc; rep from * across: 13 sc;
10th row: ch 1, turn work; sc dec over first 3 sts see special sts, sc in next 7 sc, sc dec over last 3 sts: 9 sts;
11th row: ch 1, turn work; sc dec over first 3 sts, sc in next 3 sc, sc dec over last 3 sts: 5 sts;
12th row: ch 1, turn work; sc dec over first 2 sts, (sc, dc, sc) in next sc (creating acorn bottom), sc dec over last 2 sts: 4 sc/1 dc. Fasten off; secure ends. (Mark this row as RS of work).
Acorn Top
Using LT Brown yarn.
1st rnd: ch 14; (working in back humps of ea ch); (sc, ch 2, sc) in 2nd ch from hook, [ sk next ch, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next ch ] 6 times, working back up the opposite side of beg ch and joining to acorn body, hold acorn so that row 1 is at top of work and RS facing, (sc, ch 2, sc) in first st on top and through first sc on acorn body; * sk next st on both pieces, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next st on top and through next sc on acorn body; rep from * across: 14 ch 2-sps/28 sc;
2nd rnd: working in rows: ch 1, turn work; sl st in next ch 2 sp, [ (sc, ch 2, sc) in next ch 2 sp ] 5 times, sl st in last ch 2 sp: 5 ch 2-sps/10 sc;
3rd rnd: ch 1, turn work; sl st in next ch 2 sp, [ (sc, ch 2, sc) in next ch 2 sp ] 3 times, sl st in last ch 2 sp, sl st in last st: 3 ch 2-sps/6 sc. Fasten off; secure ends.
Acorn Stem
DK Brown yarn.
1st row: with acorn WS facing; join yarn to center ch 2 sp on last row of acorn top with a sl st; ch 1, (2 sc) in joining: 2 sc;
2nd row: ch 1, turn work; sc in first sc, sc in next: 2 sc. Fasten off; secure ends.
