You’ll need:

Worsted weight yarn: yellow, brown and black;

Crochet hook 5 mm;

Tapestry needle;

Stitch markers.

Size: 0-3 months / 9cm. sole (If you want a bigger size, you can use a bigger hook).

Booties

Round 1: in YELLOW, ch 9, work 2 sc into the 2nd chain from the hook, sc in next 4 stitches, hdc in next stitch, 2 hdc in next, 6 hdc in last ch. Now working along the other side of the chain. 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next, sc in next 4 stitches, 2 sc into the last ch. (24).

Round 2: 2 sc into the first stitch, 2 sc into next stitch, sc in next 6, 2 sc in next stitch, sc in next, 2 sc in next 4 stitches, sc in next stitch, 2 sc in next, sc in next 6, 2 sc into each of the last 2 stitches (34).

Round 3: sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc into the next stitch. sc in next 11 stitches, 2 sc into the next 2 stitches, sc in the next 2 stitches, 2 sc into the next 2 stitches, sc in the next 11 stitches, 2 sc into the next stitch, sc in next 2 stitches (40).

Round 4: working in back loop only, sc in each stitch around (41).

Round 5-7: sc in each stitch (41).

Round 8: Sc, sc2tog, sc in next 8, hdc in next stitch, hdc2tog 9 times, hdc in next stitch, sc in next 7, sc2tog, sc 1 (30).

Round 9: Sc in next 9, sc2tog 6 times, sc in next 9. Join first sc with a slip stitch (24).

Round 10: Sc in next 9, sc2tog 3 times, sc in next 9 (21).

Finish with ch 4 for the tail.

Face

Round 1: in YELLOW, magic ring with 6 sc (6).

Round 2: inc in each st (12).

Round 3: (sc, inc) all round (18).

Round 4: change color to BROWN, (sc, 2 dc) all round (27).

Ears

Round 1: in YELLOW, magic ring with 4 sc (4).

Round 2: sc in each st (4).

Embroider the eyes, the mouth and the nose to the face.

Sew the ears and the face to the bootie.
