1^st row: skip 5 chains, double crochet stitch (DC) in the sixth chain, skip 2 chains, single crochet (SC), skip 2 chains, V st (DC + CH 2 + DC in one place), *V st in the next stitch, skip CH 2, SC, skip CH 2, V st *repeat to the end row. Turn your work;

2^nd row: CH 3, DC 3 in a chain space, SC over SC, DC 4 in the next chain space, skip DC 2, DC 4 in a chain space, SC over SC, *DC 4 in a chain space, skip DC 2, DC 4 in a chain space, SC over SC *repeat to the end row. DC 4 in the last chain space. Turn your work;
