Special Stitch

2Cdc (2crossed double crochets) = skip 2 sts, dc into next st, ch 1, dc into first of 2 sts just skipped working back over last dc made.

The quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 1 + 2 chain sts increase.

1st row: Dc in 3rd ch from hook *work 2 Cdc over next 3 ch, dc into next ch; rep from * to end, turn;

2nd row: Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), dc into first st, sk 1 dc, *dc into next st, work 2Cdc over next 3 dc, rep fro * ending 1 dc into last ch, sk 1 dc, 2 dc in last st, turn;

3rd row: Ch 2, dc in 1st stitch, *work 2 Cdc over next 3 sts, dc into next st, rep from * ending last rep into top of tch, turn.

Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows.
