Instructions

Stitch Guide
w&t (wrap and turn): Wyib, sl next st p-wise, bring yarn to front, sl next st back to left-hand needle p-wise, bring yarn to back, turn work.
sk2p: Sl 1 k-wise, k2tog, psso—2 sts dec’d.
Figure 8 CO: Hold 2 dpn parallel to each other in left hand, hang yarn bet needles with tail extending below and ball above. *Wrap yarn around needle furthest away from you and back up bet needles, wrap yarn around needle closest to you and back up bet needles; rep from * until desired number of sts is CO to each needle.

Rep Inc Rnd every rnd 2 times, then every 2 rnds 7 more times—56 sts.

Foot

Work even in St st until foot measures 7" (17.8cm) from CO or 2" (5.1cm) less than desired length.
Next Rnd: K53.

Heel

Part 1

Note: Heel is worked over next 34 sts, leaving 22 sts unworked for instep.
Row 1: K33, w&t.
Row 2: P32, w&t.
Row 3: K31, w&t.
Row 4: P30, w&t.
Cont, working 1 st less each row until you reach p12, w&t.

Part 2

Row 1: K to first wrapped st, k wrap with st, w&t.
Row 2: P to first wrapped st, p wrap with st, w&t.
Row 3: K to first double-wrapped st, k wraps with st, w&t.
Row 4: P to first double-wrapped st, p wraps with st, w&t.
Rep last 2 rows until all double-wrapped sts have been worked, leaving a single wrapped st at either edge of heel. K 1 rnd, working rem wraps with their sts.

Leg

K 2 rnds.
Work even in Lotus Blossom for 6" (15.2cm), ending with Rnd 12 or 24 of pat.

Finishing

Weave in ends. Lightly block to open up lace.
