Comfy Crochet Cowl

As you have asked me, here is a cowl with partly Merino yarn.
Size:
76″ around
9″ tall
Yarn:
Crystal Palace Yarns Mini Mochi
80% Merino Wool / 20% Nylon, 195 yds/180 m/ 50 gr: 3 balls of color 336 Festival
Hook/Needles:
US 6/G/4.00 mm
Gauge:
17 sts x 11 rows in double crochet makes a 4″ square.
Other supplies:
Yarn Needle
Stitches and Skills used:
ch ~ chain
dc ~ double crochet
dc3tog ~ double crochet 3 together
sp(s) ~ space(s)
st(s) ~ stitch(es)
Getting Started:
To join each new skein of yarn, a wet felted join is recommended. The traditional method of leaving two long ends and weaving them in will also work well with this yarn. Do not use a magic knot, this yarn will not hold it well.
Pattern:
Row 1: Ch 63 (last 3 chs count as dc), 2 dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each of next 56 ch, dc3tog over last 3 ch. – {60 sts}
Row 2: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), dc3tog over first 3 sts, dc in each of next 56 sts, 3 dc in last st. – {60 sts}
Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in same st, dc in each of next 56 sts, dc3tog over last 3 sts.
Rows 4-19: Repeat rows 2 & 3 eight more times.
Row 20: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), dc3tog over first 3 sts, [ch 1, skip 1, dc in next st] 28 times, ch 1, 2 dc in last st.
Row 21: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in same st, [ch 1, dc in next ch-1 sp] 28 times, dc3tog over last 3 sts.
Row 22: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), dc3tog over first 3 sts, [ch 1, dc in next ch-1 sp] 27 times, ch 1, skip 1, dc in next st, ch 1, 2 dc in last st.
Rows 23-38: Repeat rows 21 & 22 eight more times.
Row 39: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in same st, dc in each of next 56 ch, dc3tog over last 3 sts.
Row 40: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), dc3tog over first 3 sts, dc in each of next 56 sts, 3 dc in last st.
Row 41: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in same st, dc in each of next 56 sts, dc3tog over last 3 sts.
Rows 42-57: Repeat rows 40 & 41 eight more times.
Repeat rows 20 – 57 once more, then repeat rows 20 – 38 one more time.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Block piece flat.
Fold cowl into a tube, and sew the starting chain and the top of the final row together with left over yarn.
