In Magic ring:

1^st row: (2dccl + ch2) x 6, close with sl st

2^nd row: sl st in next ch space, begPC in sp, ch3, (PC in next sp, ch3) 4 times, PC in next sp, ch2, close with a sc in top of begPC.

3^rd row: sl st in next ch space, (4 sc in space, fpsc over PC) x 6, close with sl st (24 sc, 6 fpsc)

4^th row: ch 1 and sc in same st, *ch3, sk 2 sc, sc in next st, ch3, sk 1 sc (the fpsc), sc in next st*, repeat 5 times, sl st in first sc (12 sc, 12 ch3 sp)

5^th row: sl st in next 2 ch and sc in space, *8 dc in next space, sc in next sp*, repeat 5 times, slst in first sc (6 sc, 48 dc)

6^th row: remove hook, insert hook back to front through joining st, pull working loop to the back and ch 1, *bpsc in next 4 dc, ch 1, bpsc in next 4 dc, ch 1, sk sc from rd 5*, repeat 5 times, sl st in first st (48 bpsc, 12 ch1 sp)

7^th row: ch2 (counts as first hdc), hdc in next 3 st, *(hdc, ch1, hdc) in ch1 sp, hdc in next 4 st, fptr in sc from round 5, 4 hdc in next 4 st*, repeat till end, sl st in first ch2 (60 hdc, 6 fptr, 6 ch1 sp)

8^th row: ch1 and sc in same st, sc in next 4 st, *(sc, ch1, sc) in ch sp, skip first hdc, sc in next 10 st*, repeat till end, sl st in first sc, finish off and weave in ends. ( 72 sc, 6 ch1 spaces)
