The quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 2. Make even rows due to the pattern, yarn overs as purls, double yarn over – 1 yarn over as purl, the 2nd yarn over as knit st. Make 1st-10th rows x once, then, repeat 3rd-10th rows.

1st row: 1 purl, * 2 knit sts, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl;

3rd row: 1 purl, * cross 2 sts to the left (leave 1 st on the auxiliary needle in front of work, 1 knit st, 1 knit st from the auxiliary needle), 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl;

5th row: 1 knit st, * 2 yarn overs, 1 broaching, knit2tog to the left*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st;

7th row: 1 knit st, * 2 purls, cross 2 sts to the left*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st;

9th row: 1 knit st, 1 broaching, knit2tog to the left, 2 yarn overs*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st.
