You’ll need:

6 skeins of Bernat Softee Chunky yarn (100% acryl; 100m/100g);

Straight and circular knitting needles 8 mm.

Size: 25,5 cm wide x 254 cm long.

Stitches control: stockinette stitch: 11 sts x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Cast on 27 sts and make 3 rows of knit sts, increase 2 sts in the first WS row = 29 sts. Then, continue work in the following way: 1^st row: 4 knit sts, * 3 purls, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st;

2^nd row: 1 knit st, * 3 purls, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 3 purls, 1 knit st;

3^rd and 4^th rows: as the 1^st and 2^nd rows;

5^th row: 1 knit st, * yarn over, double broaching (slip 1 knit st, knit2tog, draw it through the slipped st), yarn over, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, yarn over, double broaching, yarn over, 1 knit st;

6^th row: 1 knit st, * 3 knit sts, 3 purls*; repeat from * to *, 4 knit sts;

7^th row: 1 knit st, * 3 purls, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 3 purls, 1 knit st;

8^th and 9^th rows: as the 6^th and 7^th rows;

10^th row: as the 6^th row;

11^th row: 4 knit sts, * yarn over, double broaching, yarn over, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st;

12^th row: as the 2^nd row.

Repeat 1^st-12^th rows until the length of scarf is 254 cm from the set-up row, finish your work with the 6^th or 12^th row. Make knit sts in the next row, decrease 2 sts, make 2 rows of knit sts, bind off all the sts as knit sts.

Make 4 tassels 20,5 cm each.
