You’ll need:

Scheepjes Catona yarn in white and main color;

Crochet hook 2,5 mm;

Embroidery floss or yarn for the tassel

Stuffing;

Yarn needle;

Stitch marker;

Scissors;

Small craft pom pom.

Instructions

Row 1: With white color, sc 6 in a mr (6)

Row 2: [inc] 6 times (12)

Row 3: [sc, inc] 6 times (18)

Row 4: [sc 2, inc] 6 times (24)

Rows 5-6: sc around (24) 2 rounds, change to main color

Row 7: sc around (24)

Row 8: in BLO [sc 2, dec] 6 times (18)

Rows 9-10: sc around (18) 2 rounds

Row 11: in BLO [sc, dec] 6 times (12). Stuff.

Row 12: [dec] 6 times (6), sl st in first st,

Chain as long as you want your bookmark to be plus 6 more ch.

Starting from the 7th ch from hook, sl st all the way up.

FO leaving a long tail.

With your yarn needle and the yarn tail, sew the hole on the bottom closed.

Pull the yarn tail from the bottom of the cupcake through the magic ring on the top.

Pull your pom pom throught the needle, make a knot to secure it in place and hide the yarn end.

If you don’t have a craft pom pom you can alternatively use a bead, a handmade pom pom or a small crocheted ball.

Hold your cupcake upside down and insert your hook in one of the remaining front loops of R11. Attach yarn in main color and sl st in each remaining front loop.

FO and weave in ends.

With your cupcake turned upside down, attach yarn in main color onto one of the remaining front loops of R8 and slip stitch in each loop around.

FO and weave in ends.

Cut 15-16 pieces of embroidery floss or yarn (approximately 10 cm/3.9 inches long) and pull them through the loop on the other end of your bookmark. With another piece of floss make a tight knot to form the tassel.
