The quantity of sts is multiple 14 + 5.

Read odd rows from right to left, even rows – from left to right.

1^st row: 3 chain sts increase, double crochets to the end of row;

2^nd row: 3 chain sts increase, 4 double crochets, “shell”, 5 double crochets, “shell”, 5 double crochets;

3^rd row: 3 chain sts increase, 4 double crochets, “shell”, 5 double crochets, “shell”, 5 double crochets;

4^th row: 3 chain sts increase, 4 double crochets, “shell”, 5 double crochets, “shell”, 5 double crochets;

5^th row: 3 chain sts increase, 4 double crochets, * 7 chain sts, fasten the chain in the base of the “shell” from the 3^rd row, turn, 8 single crochets along the chain. Fasten the chain at edging double crochet and make a “shell”. Make 7 chain sts again, return to the base of “shell” from the third row, fasten the chain, turn, 8 single crochets along the chain, 5 double crochets*; repeat from * to *;

6^th row: 3 chain sts increase, 4 double crochets, “shell”, 5 double crochets, “shell”, 5 double crochets;

7^th row and all the following odd rows: as the 5^th row;

8^th and all the following even rows: as the 6^th row.
