The quantity of chain sts is multipled 3 + 2 chain sts increase.

1st row: make 2 double crochets in 4th chain st of the set-up row. Then, skip 2 chain sts, and start making ornament from the 3rd st * 1 single crochet, 2 double crochets*. Skip 2 chain sts again, make the ornament until there are 4 chain sts left. Skip 2 chain sts, make 1 double crochet in the 3rd and 4th sts each.

2nd row: 2 chain sts increase, skip 1st single crochet (i.e., crochet in the 1st double crochet of the previous row) and make 2 double crochets in the 2nd single crochet. Then, make the ornament * 1 single crochet, 2 double crochets* in the single crochet of the previous row. The ornament is made to the last single crochet of the previous row. Finish the row with 1 double crochet in the 1st double crochet of the previous row, 1 double crochet in chain st increase of the previous row.

Repeat the ornament from the 2nd row.
