The quantity of sts is multiple 12 + 1.

1^st row: * 1 purl, 1 knit st, 2 purls, knit2tog with left decline, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, knit2tog with right decline, 2 purls, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl;

2^nd and all the even rows: knit sts – as purls, purls – as knit sts, yarn overs – as purls;

3^rd row: * 1 purl, 1 knit st, 2 purls, knit2tog with left decline, 1 purl, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 1 purl, knit2tog with right decline, 1 purl, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl;

5^th row: 1 purl, 1 knit st, knit2tog with left decline, 2 purls, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 2 purls, knit2tog with right decline, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl;
