The quantity of sts is multiple 21 + 3 + 2 selvage sts.

Start and finish every row with 1 selvage st.

1^st, 3^rd, 5^th, 7^th, 9^th, 11^th rows: * 3 purls, 1 yarn over, 4 knit sts, knit2tog, 2 purls, 2 cross knit sts, 2 purls, 1 yarn over, 4 knit sts, knit2tog*; repeat from * to *, finish with 3 purls;

2^nd and all the even rows: due to the ornament, yarn overs as purls;

13^th, 15^th, 17^th, 19^th, 21^st and 23^rd rows: * 3 purls, 1 broaching, 4 knit sts, 1 yarn over, 2 purls, 2 cross knit sts, 2 purls, 1 broaching, 4 knit sts, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to * , finish with 3 purls.
