​Cozy Long Jumper

You’ll need:

700 (800)g of pink yarn (60% cotton, 40% acryl; 100m/50g);

Knitting needles 4;

Circle knitting needles 4.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Rib: the quantity of sts is multiple of 4 + 2 selvedge sts.

RS rows: 1 selvedge st, * 2 knit sts, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvedge st.

WS rows: due to the ornament.

Circle rows: the quantity of sts is multiple 4: 2 knit sts, 2 purls by turn.

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 22 + 21 + 2 selvedge sts – work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated. Make WS rows sts and yarn overs – as purls.

Start with 1 selvedge sts and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvedge st. Repeat 1^st-56^th rows.

Stockinette stitch: in RS rows – knit sts, in WS rows – purls.

Stitches control: 20 sts x 35 rows = 10 x 10 cm with relief pattern.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 86 (106) sts and make 3 cm with rib for the placket, increase 3 (5) sts in the last WS row = 89 (111) sts.

Continue work with relief pattern.

In 61 cm = 214 rows (62 cm = 218 rows) from the placket, bind off the central 35 (41) sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately.

For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row.

In 63 cm = 220 rows (64 cm = 224 rows) from the placket, bind off the rest 25 (33) sts of shoulders.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but in 59 cm = 206 rows (60 cm = 210 rows) from the placket, bind off the central 27 (33) sts for the neck-hole and 6 x 1 st in every 2^nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 50 (54) sts for each sleeve and make 3 cm of rib for the placket.

Continue work due to the following description: 1 selvedge st, 3 (5) sts of stockinette stitch, 43 sts with relief pattern, 2 (4) sts with stockinette stitch, 1 selvedge st.

For sleeve chamfer, increase 36 x 1 st in every 4^th row and at first, work with stockinette stitch, then, include the sts of stockinette stitch and increases in work = 122 (126) sts.

In 42,5 cm = 148 rows from the placket, bind off all the sts as knit sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams.

Cast on 88 (100) sts with circle knitting needles and make 1 circle row of purls and 3 cm of rib.

Then, bind off the sts as purls.

Sew up the sleeves. Make side and sleeve seams.
