Instructions

Back

Cast on 51 (55) 59 sts with light-grey yarn and make 1 WS row in the following way: 1 selvedge st, * 1 knit st, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st, 1 selvedge st (don’t take this row into account). Then, work with half-patent pattern. Bind off 4 x 1 st for side chamfers from both sides in the 16th row = 43 (47) 51 sts. In 38 cm = 90 rows from set-up row, make 1 RS row with stockinette stitch with light-grey yarn and 3 rows of stockinette stitch with pink yarn, start with 1 WS row. Then, work with stockinette stitch, increase 1 x 1 st in the 1st row from both sides and 1 x 1 st in every 10th (8th) 6th row = 47 (51) 55 sts. In 11 cm = 22 rows (9 cm = 18 rows) 7 cm = 14 rows from the pink stripe, bind off 2 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 37 (41) 45 sts. In 31 cm = 60 rows from pink stripe, bind off the central 15 (17) 19 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts in the next 2nd row from inwards. In 33 cm = 64 rows from pink stripe, bind off the rest 9 (10) 11 sts.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, bind off the central 7 (9) 11 sts in 18,5 cm = 36 rows from pink stripe and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row, 4 x 1 st in every 4th row.

Sleeves

Cast on 33 (37) 41 sts with light-grey yarn and make 1 WS row in the following way: 1 selvedge st, *1 knit st, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st, 1 selvedge st (don’t take this row into account). Then, work with the main pattern. In 30 cm = 70 rows from the set-up row, increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers, 1 x 1 st in the next 16th row, 2 x 1 st in every 10th row = 41 (45) 49 sts, including the increased sts in the pattern. In 50 cm = 118 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 (4) 5 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, 3 x 2 sts, 5 x 1 st, 1 x 2 (3) 4 sts in every 2nd row. In 58,5 cm = 138 rows from the set-up row, bind off the rest 9 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 76 (80) 84 sts along the neck-hole line with circle knitting needles 6 and light-grey yarn for collar and work with rib in circle rows. In 5 cm from the beginning of collar, make 1 WS row, then, turn to circle knitting needles 7 and work with rib, replace the stripes of rib to 2 sts. In 10 cm from the beginning of collar, bind off all the sts due to the ornament. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
