Straight knitting needles 3,5;

Circle knitting needles 3,75;

Auxiliary needle;

Markers;

Needle with big eye;

3 buttons Ø 19 mm.

Size: S,[M],L,[XL],2X,[3X];

Chest circumference: 92,5, [105,5], 120,5, [133,5], 150, [167,5] cm;

Length: 51 cm.

Used Patterns

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multipled 16.

1st row and all the odd rows (WS): purl;

2nd row: * 3 knit sts, knit2tog, yarn over, 1 knit st, 1 broaching to left: slip 2 sts as knit sts, insert the left-hand needle in 2 slipped st from left to right through front loops and make 2 sts through back loop of 1 knit st, knit2tog to left*; repeat from * to * to end of row;

4th row: * 2 knit sts, knit2tog, 2 yarn over, 3 knit sts, 1 yarn over, skip 1 st, 2 knit sts, 1 yarn over, skip 1 st, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to * to end of row;

Instructions

Right Front

Cast on 94 sts.

1st, 2nd rows: knit sts;

3rd row: purl;

4th, 5th, 6th rows: knit sts;

7th row: purl.

If you make your sleeveless jacket with buttons, so make the 7th row in the following way: 22 purls, purl2tog, 1 yarn over, purl2tog, 1 yarn over, 7 purls, 1 yarn over, purl2tog, 2 purls;;

8th and 9th rows: knit sts;

10th row: 2 knit sts, 1 broaching to left, 1 yarn over – for forming neck-hole, then knit sts to the last 10 sts: 1 yarn over, knit2tog, 8 knit sts;

11th and all the odd rows (WS): purl;

12th row: knit sts;

Make the first 4 sts and edging 10 sts due to the description above to 14,[21],26,[32],37,[43] cm height. Finish with the 10th row of the relief pattern.

Shoulder

1st row and all the wrong-side rows: purls;

2nd row: make the edge of neck-hole on 4 knit sts, the next 16 sts – relief pattern, place marker, repeat these actions to the last 10 sts, 10 knit sts;

4th row: knit to the marker, 1 yarn over, knit2tog, knit to the last 2 sts before the 2nd marker, knit2tog, 1 yarn over, knit to end of row;

6th row: 4 knit sts, relief pattern to the last 10 sts, 10 knit sts;

8th row: due to the description to the marker, 1 yarn over, knit2tog, 14 knit sts, knit2tog, 1 yarn over, knit to end of row;

Form the sleeve cap.

16th row: 4 knit sts, relief pattern to the marker, 2 knit sts, * 1 yarn over, 1 knit st* x 6 times, * 1 double yarn over, 1 knit st* x 10 times, 1 double yarn over, 1 st from broaching, slip 57 sts to the auxiliary needle – for lower arm-hole;

17th row: purl, slip yarn overs. You should get 39 sts;

18th row: due to the description to marker, 1 yarn over, knit2tog, 17 knit sts. Totally, 39 sts;

19th row and wrong-side rows: purl;

20th row: due to the description to the marker, 19 knit sts;

22nd row: due to the description to the marker, 1 yarn over, knit2tog, * 1 yarn over, 1 knit st* x 6 times, * 1 double yarn over, 1 knit st* x 11 times.

Repeat 17th-22nd rows x 7 times, 17th-20th rows x once. Transfer the sts to the auxiliary needle.

Form lower arm-hole

16th row: from the right side on 57 sts from the auxiliary needle: 1 knit st, lift 1 st from broaching, 56 knit sts. Totally, 58 sts;

Then, 52 rows of the relief pattern, saving the 10 selvedge sts. Finish with the same row, as sleeve cap.

Form the second side of shoulder

1st row (set-up row): 56 knit sts, purl2tog, sts from the auxiliary needle for sleeve cap, purl2tog to the 20 last sts, marker, knit to end of row. Totally, 94 sts;

2nd row: *due to the pattern to marker, 1 yarn over, knit2tog, 14 knit sts, knit2tog, 1 yarn over* to end of row;

3rd and all wrong-side rows: purl;

4th row: due to the description to the marker, 18 knit sts;

6th row: due to the description to the marker, 1 yarn over, knit2tog, 14 knit sts, knit2tog, yarn over;

8th row: due to the description to the marker, 18 knit sts;

10th row: saving the first 4 knit sts and 10 selvedge sts, relief pattern on the rest sts.

Repeat the described actions 5,[5],6,[6],7,[8] times from the set-up row with the relief pattern, finish with the 10th row of the relief pattern. Make the left front in symmetry to the right. Bind off the sts.

Assembly

Cast on 3 sts and make a cord 127 cm long. Insert it through the holes of the relief pattern along the neck-hole line.
