You’ll need:

Velvet fabric;

Buttons, covered with velvet;

Ready-made edging;

Zipper 40 cm long;

Cotton sheeting;

Stuffing;

Ruler for patchwork;

Measuring tape;

Threads;

Pins;

Needle;

Chalky pencil;

Compass.

Instructions

Cutting:

a) rectangle of velvet 1x

b) side part:

2x velvet

2x calico

All dimensions are given in cm.

Neaten all the details.

Fold the rectangle with the front side inwards and grind, as shown in the figure, not reaching the labels for stitching the zipper 1 cm.

Iron the seam allowances, and iron the seam allowances along the cuts on the seamy side.

Pin and fasten the zipper in the center under the edges of the cut, and then grind it at a distance of 5 mm using the special foot of the sewing machine to sew the zippers.

Pip the edging to both side parts (put the ends of the piping one on top of the other), while the thickened portion of the piping lies on the part, and the open sections are aligned with the section of the part.

Chop the side parts of coarse calico with the details with the edging on the wrong sides and grind at a distance of 1 cm, leaving the open section of the seam to fill.

Loose the resulting side parts with filler.

Manually sew a button on both side parts on the front side in the center by hand.

Pin both side parts to the middle part with the front side to the front side and stitch it at a distance of 1 cm (the zipper is opened).

Remove cover.
