  • T-shirt yarn (approx. five 32-meter rows)
  • Chain
  • Loops (2 opening rings, 1 closed loop)
  • 2 buckles
  • Beads
  • Hook size 6
  • Stitch markers (optional)

Body of the Bag

Foundation:

Chain 60

Row 2:

Skip the first loop

Alternate: two splits, one half double crochet

End with two splits

Subsequent Rows:

Repeat Row 2

Start and end each row with two splits

Continue until the body reaches 28 cm

Sides of the Bag

First Side Panel:

Chain 25

Include two splits

Triple decrease

Three single crochets

Triple decrease

Finish with 25 single crochets including two splits

Second Row:

23 single crochets

Triple decrease

Three single crochets

Triple decrease

Final Row:

Two splits

21 single crochets

Triple decrease

Three single crochets

Triple decrease

21 single crochets


Second Side Panel:

Repeat all steps from the first side


Join Sides to Body:

Sew using a needle and inside loops


Handles

Create five single crochets inside a ring

Chain one and turn

Continue with single crochet

Fold and attach to the opposite side's last stitch

Continue single crochet along the top edge

Repeat until handle measures 38 cm

Attach second ring and secure

Crochet T-Shirt Bag

Closure

Chain 10

Alternate: single crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch

Repeat until closure measures ~15 cm

Finish with a row of single crochet

Attach closure to the front center of the bag


Final Touches

Sew handles to the back of the bag
