You will need:
- Worsted weight yarn in tan, light tan, brown, and 3 colors for the accessories (Sample made with Loops & Threads Impeccable Soft Taupe, Almond, Walnut, Claret, and Gold, and Loops & Threads Soft Classic Coffee)
- G crochet hook (4/4.25 mm)
- 2- 6mm safety eyes
- black embroidery floss and needle
- stuffing
- yarn needle
- stitch markers
- scissors
Instructions:
Most of the pieces are made beginning with a magic ring. The ears, and tail are made by making a chain and then working into that chain.
Head
Make 1 in tan, beginning with magic ring
Round 1: in mr, ch 1, 6 sc (6 sc)
Round 2: 2 sc in each st (12 sc)
Round 3: [2 sc in first st, 1 sc in next st] repeat around (18 sc)
Rounds 4-6: 1 sc in each st (18 sc)
Add safety eyes between rounds 4 and 5 with a few (3-4) stitches in between
Begin stuffing and continue stuffing as you work
Round 7: sc2tog around (9 sc)
Rounds 8-10: 1 sc in each st (9 sc)
Finish off, cut yarn leaving long tail for sewing
Body
Make 1 in tan, beginning with magic ring
Round 1: in mr, ch 1, 6 sc (6 sc)
Round 2: 2 sc in each st (12 sc)
Round 3: [2 sc in first st, 1 sc in next st] repeat around (18 sc)
Rounds 4-12: 1 sc in each st (18 sc)
Begin stuffing and continue stuffing as you work
Round 13: [sc2tog, 1 sc in next st] repeat around (12 sc)
Round 14: sc2tog around (6 sc)
Finish off, weave in ends
Sew the head piece to the front top of the body
Nose
Make 1 in light tan, beginning with magic ring
Round 1: in mr, ch 1, 6 sc (6 sc)

Round 3: 1 sc in each st (9 sc)
Finish off and cut yarn leaving long tail for sewing
Stitch a Y on the nose with black embroidery floss
Add a tiny amount of stuffing and stitch onto the head between and below the eyesHump

Sew the hump to the top of the body behind the head adding stuffing as you sew
Ears
Make 2 in tan, beginning with chainch 2
Row 1: sc in second ch from hook (1 sc)
Finish off and cut yarn leaving long tail for sewing
Stitch the 2 ears to the head
Tail
Make 1 in tan, beginning with chainch 4
Row 1: sl st in 1st ch from hook and each ch to end (4 sl st)
Finish off and cut yarn leaving long tail for sewing
cut 2 pieces of light tan yarn 4-5" long, fold in half and pull the folded end through the end of the tail, then pull the loose ends through the loop and pull to knot, trim the ends so they make a short little tuft at the end of the tail
Stitch the tail to the back of the body
Legs
Make 4 starting with brown and switching to tan where indicated, beginning with magic ringRound 1: in mr, ch 1, 6 sc (6 sc)
change to tan yarn
Rounds 2-4: 1 sc in each st (6 sc)
Finish off and cut yarn leaving long tail for sewing
Stitch the four legs onto the bottom side of the body, two in front and two in back.
Hump Cover
Make 1 in main color (red) switching to stripe color (gold) where indicated, beginning with magic ringRound 1: in mr, ch 1, 6 sc (6 sc)

Cut 6 lengths of yarn in the stripe color, each a few inches long
