You can customize these ornaments with different colors and patterns, making each one unique. Whether you crochet them as gifts or for your own tree, they are sure to bring joy and a homemade touch to your holiday season. Why not grab some yarn, a crochet hook, and a cup of hot cocoa, and get crafting? It's a delightful way to spread some holiday cheer!

They are made with 8ply/DK and trimmed with gold yarn.
I used Moda Vera Romantic for the gold trim.
Crochet Hooks – 3.50mm for the cup and saucer
3.00mm for the cup handle
Crochet terms are in English /Aus terminology - our dc = sc in American Crochet Terms.
Abbreviations -
dc2tog = hook through next dc, yarn over, pull thread through, hook through 2nd dc, yarn over, pull thread through, yarn over, and pull through all 3 loops on hook.

CUP
With 3.50mm hook and MC
Make a magic loop,
Round 1 - 1 ch, 8dc into loop, join to 1st dc with sl st. Pull tight to close circle and secure.

Round 2 – 1ch (counts as dc), 1dc in same place as sl st, 2dc in every dc, join with sl st to first ch – 16dc.
Round 3 – 1ch, 1dc in same place as sl st,1 dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc, repeat from* ending with 1dc on last repeat, join with sl st to first ch – 24dc.
Rounds 4,5 & 6 – 1ch, 1 dc in every dc, join to first ch – 24dc. Your cup will start to form shape.
Round 7 – 1ch, *dc2tog over next 2 dc, dc in next dc, repeat from * join with sl st to first ch – 16dc.
Round 8 – 1ch, dc in every dc, join with sl st to first ch – 16dc.
Round 9 – 1ch, dc in same place as sl st, *dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc, repeat from * join with sl st to first ch – 24 dc. Change to gold at the end of this round, by joining in before finishing the sl st and pull through the new colour on you hook.
Round 10 – dc in each dc, join to first dc and fasten off.

SAUCER
Using 3.50m hook and MC
Work first 3 rounds of CUP,
Round 4 – 1ch, 1dc in same place as sl st, *1dc in next 2dc, 2dc in next dc, repeat from * around, join
Round 5 – 1ch, 1dc in same place as sl st, *1dc in next 3dc, 2dc in next dc, repeat from * join with sl st, change to gold at the end of this round, by joining in before finishing the sl st, pulling through the new colour on you hook – 40 dc.
Round 6 – With gold, dc in every dc around – join to first dc, fasten off.

CUP HANDLE
For the handle, you’re going to do a row of ch in the cup colour, then change to gold to do a row of dc.
Using 3mm hook and cup colour, make 9ch, join in gold THEN make the last ch, so you have gold on your hook ready for the next row.
Next Row - miss first ch, 1dc in next 4 ch, then 2dc in each of the next 5ch. Fasten off

This makes the curve for the handle.

Sew the handle to the cup, then sew the cup to the saucer around the base and attach a gold cord to hang.

All done.
