Size 7 steel crochet hook
Size 10 white crochet thread
Black embroidery thread
Yarn needle
Fiberfill

*Ch 1 at the start of a round does not count as a stitch.

Instructions:
Finger puppet:
Round 1: make an adjustable ring, ch1, 6 sc in ring, join.(6 sc)
Round 2: ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as join and in each st around, join. (12 sc)
Round 3: ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as join, 1 sc in the next st, *2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next st, repeat from * around, join. (18 sc)
Round 4: ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as join, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, *2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, repeat from * around, join. (24 sc)
Round 5: ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as join, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, *2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, repeat from * around, join. (30 sc)
Rounds 6 -14: ch 1, 1 sc in the same st as join and in each st around, join. (30 sc)
Round 15: ch 1, sc dec over same st as join and the next st, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, *sc dec over the next 2 sts, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, repeat from * around, join.(24 sc)
Round 16: ch 1, sc dec over same st as join and the next st, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, *sc dec over the next 2 sts, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, repeat from * around, join.(18 sc)
Round 17: ch 1, sc dec over same st as join and the next st, 1 sc in the next st, *sc dec over the next 2 sts, 1 sc in the next st, repeat from * around, join.(12 sc) Stuff dog’s head.

Round 18:ch 1, sc dec over same st as join and next st, sc dec over next 2 sts, around, join.(6 sc)

Round 19: ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as join and in each st around, join. (12 sc)
Round 20: ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as join, 1 sc in the next st, *2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next st, repeat from * around, join. (18 sc)
Round 21: ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as join, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, *2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, repeat from * around, join. (24 sc)
Round 22: ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as join, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, *2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, repeat from * around, join. (30 sc)
Rounds 21 – 38: ch 1, 1 sc in the same st as join and in each st around, join, finish off and weave in ends. (30 sc)
Embroider eyes and nose on face.

Ears (make 2):
Ch 9
Row 1: sc in the second ch from hook and in the next 7 chs, ch 1 turn. (8 sc)
Row 2: sc in the first sc and in each of the next 7 chs, ch 1, turn. (8 sc)
Row 3: sc in the first sc and in each of the next 7 chs, rotate but don’t turn, work 3 sc in the bottom of the ear, rotate but don’t turn, working in the bottom of the foundation chain, sc in each of the next 8 chains, finish off and weave in ends. Sew ears to side of dog’s head.
Arms (make 2):
Round 1: make an adjustable ring, ch1, 4 sc in ring, join.(4 sc)
Round 2: ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as join and in each st around, join. (8 sc)
Rounds 3 – 12: ch 1, 1 sc in the same st as join and in each st around, join. (8 sc)
After round 12, leave an 8 inch tail for sewing and cut thread. Sew arms to side of body.
