Crochet Amigurumi Potion Bottles

Crochet amigurumi potion bottles are an enchanting way to add a touch of whimsy to your crafting projects. These miniature creations are perfect for anyone who loves a dash of magic in their life. With their intricate detailing and vibrant colors, these crochet potion bottles are not only adorable but also a fun challenge for crochet enthusiasts. Adding these tiny treasures to your collection can bring joy and a sense of wonder to your crafting space. So, grab your yarn and hook, and let your creativity flow as you embark on creating your own little pieces of crochet magic!

Materials Needed:
  • Worsted weight yarn (size 4) in the colors of your choice
  • Polyester Fiber Fill
  • 3.75mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers
  • Pins
Abbreviations:

  • Mr- magic ring
  • St- stitch
  • Sc- single crochet
  • Inc- increase (sc twice in one stitch)
  • Dec- decrease (sc two stitches together)
  • BLO- sc in back loops only
  • FLO- sc in front loops only

Helpful notes before you begin:

  • If you’d like to minimize sewing, you can slipstitch through the rows that call for sewing on the bottle portions of the pattern. (Pictured under the “Big Round Bottle” pattern below.)
  • It’s important to stuff evenly and not too firmly so that your potion bottles can remain upright when they’re set down.
  • Stiffer yarns are best for this pattern (like RedHeart Supersaver or cotton yarn) because they hold their shape a bit better, but you can definitely use whatever yarns you’d like, you might just have to squish your plushies into shape a bit more after stuffing.

Round 16: FLO sc around [12]

Rounds 17-18: sc around [12]

Round 19: FLO (sc 1, inc)x6 [18]

Rounds 20-21: sc around [18]

Round 22: (sc 1, dec)x6 [12]

Tie off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Finishing your bottle:

This part is a little fiddly, so don’t worry if it takes a little while. To give the bottle the ridge at the top, we’re going to sew (or slip stitch) row 22 down to the back loops that are leftover from row 18. After you’re done sewing that down, tie off and hide the remaining tail, and then lightly stuff the neck of the bottle!

Assembly:

All you have to do to assemble these cute plushies is just pin the cork on the top opening of each bottle and sew them on!

To add character to my bottles, I like to chain a long chain with tan yarn and then sew it onto the bottle, and sometimes I add beads to the chain to give it even more character, like I did with the blue bottle!
