This can be made in any variation of colors. I have also done it in regular acrylic yarn and had no problems with heat.

Materials:
H Hook
Worsted weight Cotton Yarn in 2 colors. MC-main color, CC-Contrasting color.

Shells: 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc.

Make 2 with MC.
Ch 4, join with a sl st in the first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, 11 dc in ring. Join with sl st in top of ch 3.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same st as joining, 2 dc in each dc around. Join.
Rnd 3: Ch 5, dc in same st as joining, *skip 1 dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next dc, repeat from * around ending by skipping last dc. Join.
Rnd 4 and 5: Sl st to 1st ch 2 space, ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2 dc in ch 2 space, *(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch 2 space, repeat from * around. Join.
Fasten off.

Place both pieces backsides together. You will now be working through both thicknesses.
With CC: sc in space between any 2 shells. *do 6 dc in next ch 2 space of next shell, sc in space between next shells, repeat from * around. Join with sl st in top of 1st sc. Don't fasten off. Hanging loop: ch 12, slst in top of next sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.
